Louisiana (Updated 11/16/18)

Alexandria:
Camp Beauregard
(Updated 11/15/18)

Camp Beauregard was one of 16 National Guard camps. It saw action during WWII, and today it serves as the HQ for the Louisiana Army National Guard.

Lake Charles:

Gerstner Field
(updated 11/16/18)

Hurricane damage.

Gerstner Field was rather large for a flying field at almost 5,000 acres. It was hit with a hurricane in August 1918. That likely played a factor why it didn't see any kind of reuse in WWII; not even as an auxiliary field or civilian contract school. Today the area is just agriculture.

New Orleans:

Jackson Barracks

New Orleans Army Supply Base/Quartermaster Terminal

New Orleans Naval Station

Ft. St. Phillips
